Living with diabetes can be complicated, especially for aging individuals. In our assisted living setting, we are able to offer diabetic care and management as an enhanced care service. This includes glucose monitoring and insulin administration.

If a resident is able to self-monitor and self-manage their blood sugar checks and administer their own insulin, they are able to continue to do so independently.

All residents benefit from having regular supervision so that our care team can spot any changes in their baseline behavior and notify their doctor of symptoms of an underlying problem so that illnesses and infections can be caught early.

We offer special diets including low concentrated sweets (LCS) and work with a dietician to ensure that our meals are healthy and nutritious and meet the resident’s individual needs. We also offer daily exercise class to keep our residents active and engaged.

Complex Care Needs


If your loved one is interested in assisted living but has unstable glucose levels and has complications related to diabetes that are not well-controlled, please give us a call and we can help you determine whether or not our assisted living community is a good fit. We understand that while diabetes is a fairly common disease, each person has unique needs and we're happy to help you navigate.

This allows us to care for residents who require assistance with medical equipment management, transfer and ambulation assistance, insulin management and diabetic care needs, medication administration, total feeding assistance, wound care and skilled observations.
