Daily Exercise

At the Vilas Home, we are in constant pursuit of providing a fun and healthy environment for all our residents, no matter their current level of mobility and fitness. Our daily exercise programs provide a fun way of socializing with others while helping to improve moods and decrease stress levels. These regular activities boost the overall well-being of our residents and provide enjoyable activities and events that are looked forward to every day. 

Daily Exercise May Include:

  • Chair Yoga
  • Stretching
  • Sittercise
  • Noodle Ball
  • Group Walks
  • Dart Ball
  • Tennis Toss
  • Wii Games

All our exercises are monitored and led by trained staff members. When the weather is nice, we will take the classes outside. If at any time, residents feel like they cannot complete the whole exercise, we encourage modified versions. After all, any exercise is good exercise! Whether the residents are engaged with an onsite rehabilitation program, need help with balance and coordination, want to strengthen their muscles, or are looking to improve overall heart health, we can customize an exercise routine that is perfect for them.
