Located in the heart of Plattsburgh, adjacent to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) and across the street from SUNY Plattsburgh’s peaceful campus, the Vilas Home offers residents and visitors a sense of place in the best possible way.

While both our services and footprint have expanded since the Vilas Home was founded in 1888, our mission to provide a safe and supportive assisted living home to our aging friends and neighbors in the community has not.  We strive to maximize the quality of life for each individual who resides with us through our caring and compassionate staff, our freshly prepared home-cooked meals, the many engaging activities and outings we offer, and the specialized care plans that we tailor to each person’s unique needs.
